MCFT Advanced Diploma Cost

Below are the costs associated with the Advanced Diploma. Please note that these are costs in addition to the Forest Technology program. Fish & Wildlife Techniques I, II and III are given in the Second Year of the program. If taking the Advanced Diploma you can apply to student loans for additional funds in the second year. The non-MCFT courses can be taken in either your first or second year but must be completed before receiving your Advanced Diploma, the costs are set by non-MCFT organizations and are subject to change.

When applying for a Student Loan for 2nd Year you should be sure to give the Tuition Fee as $7570 ($4200 Reg. Program plus $3370 Adv. Diploma Tuition 2nd Year). Also Books would be $1226 instead of $816
for 2nd Year.

Payment Schedule

Students living in Residence: The minimum down payment due on Registration Day for students living in Residence is $3,730.08 which is for Tuition $2,100, Student Fees $165.75, half of the Room $728.33 and half of the Meals $936 less the $200 down payment for a total due on Registration Day of $3,730.08 The balance owing is due 30 days from the date of registration. The total for the Semester is $6,002.40.

Students with a single room in Bedard Hall will be charged an extra $450 per semester. This must also be paid
in full on Registration Day or at the start of any Semester.

Students living off Campus: The minimum down payment due on Registration Day for students living off Campus is $2143 which is for Tuition $2100 and Student fee of $43 for a total of $2143. Amount due for the Semester is Tuition $2100, books $408 and Student Fees of $43 for a total of $2551. The balance due of $408 for Books is due 30 days from date of registration. The full amount of $2551 can be paid on Registration Day.

Late Payment Fees: There is a late payment fee of $100 which will be charged to accounts that are not paid within the 30 days from the date of registration or start of the semester. This late payment fee applies to all semesters. At the start of each semester the above down payment is due with the balance due within 30 days.

Note: If a student has a Student Loan which will cover the down payment then the down payment is not required.

We must have a copy of the Student Loan.

Refunds

Tuition: If a student withdraws before September 30th a full tuition refund will be granted.
Between October 01st and 15th, half the tuition will be refunded and after October 15th,
no refund on tuition will be granted.

Residence & Meals: Refunds are granted for any weeks in which the student has paid and has not used.

Books & Student Fees: No refunds are granted at any time.
